I've recently discovered Don McIntyre's Class Globe 580 class of ocean-going displacement 'miniature' (19') racing yachts. These are designed to be home-build yachts with a number of resources available to builders to help them along, both in terms of information available and also CNC wood kits, standard sail packages, mast/rigging packages etc. As an accomplished half-finisher of projects I feel eminently qualified to half-finish something like this too... And so it begins...
