Sept 2025 Update

No specific milestones reached this month but progress continues...
Most of the stringers are glued up. Progress has paused temporarily while I wait for more epoxy to arrive. One thing I probably should have foreseen is that while the boat will just about fit in the garage, the stringers are actually longer than the length of the boat, both because they are curved around the outside of the hull, and because they are deliberately oversized so that they can be cut down to size once they're fitted to the boat. This means that they are too long to construct in the garage so after the first few joints construction was moved into the house where they just about fit through the living room and down the length of the hallway.
I've also cut the remainder of the pieces of plywood out of the sheets they are supplied in and loaded up the back of the truck with the offcuts. In case anyone's wondering, the offcuts (less some of the more substantial pieces that I've kept for things like interior fit-out) comes to about one whole pickup-trucks-worth of load space.
In other sailing news I've been away for a week on Sunsail's Elafiti Flotilla and I've spent some time getting my new (to me) Foxer Dinghy race-ready - the old one will be up for sale soon!
