Whilst I still haven't quite worked out whether or not I can fit the boat either in to or out of the garage, I have splashed some cash on improving the lighting situation in the garage. Regardless of whether or not the whole boat thing actually goes ahead, this really neaded doing anyway. Out with the old single energy-saving (by not being very bright) bulb and in with 4 x 5' LED batten light fittings. They are IP65-rated 30W/50W (3600/6000lm) selectable, which I didn't really think about before I bought them - 200W of waterproof LED lights is really a bit excessive...
